Welcome to a new window into the fascinating world of design and manufacture. Stay tuned for regular informative posts on Design, CAD and scanning.
Imparts Design Limited has been around for a while now but as we are moving into bigger and brighter thinks I thought it a good time for a name change.
ID3D. The "ID" comes for the initials of the company, Imparts Design Limited, and the "3D" from the industry I'm in, 3D CAD and Printing. I think its catchy and hope you do too.
What is it ID3D do?
Imparts design has been heavily focussed on the concept and detail design of components and the CAD work required to convey and utilise those designs. Along side that there are aspects of Simulation used to qualify a design as well as documentation to accompany the design.
New to ID3D is the ability to 3D scan items. Used extensively for the digitising of components ID3D will also focus on its use for reverse engineering. Reverse engineering utilises a scan as a reference to create a parametric 3D CAD model that can be easily modified, (unlike a scan file).
